 USAA-ARIZONA Indoor JOAD Championship Format: Single FITA I – Indoor 18 meter Tournament (Star FITA)

Recurve Bow and Barebow – One (1) – 600 round from 18 meters; Bowman, Cub class - 60cm target face.  Cadet, Junior class – 40cm target face (choice of single-spot or vertical 3 spot face — must use target choice for entire tournament); outer 10 ring scoring. (Single 600 round = 30 arrows x 2 rounds = 60 arrows)

Compound Bow- One (1) – 600 round from 18 meters; – 40 cm target face (choice of single-spot or vertical 3 spot face — must use choice for entire tournament); All classes will shoot Inner 10 ring scoring. (Single 600 round = 30 arrows x 2 rounds = 60 arrows) (60 Pound draw weight maximum as measured by the Tournament scale)

Target Face – Bowman and Cub Recurve / Barebow can shoot 60cm target face. All other archer classes use a 40cm target face, single or vertical 3 spot.

MEMBERSHIP – USAA/NAA membership listing Arizona residence is required to compete for the State Championship recognition. If your USAA membership expires prior to the official start date of the tournament, a copy of your USAA membership renewal and payment must accompany your tournament Registration Form. Your application will not be considered complete until your current membership is on file with the USAA. All archers must show USAA membership card at the tournament registration table. New Rules and Regulations for 2022 - If you are going to have a coach sitting in the coach's area (just behind the archer's area), we will need to know ahead of time.  Please have your coach email us their Background Check and Safesport expiration dates.

Also, there will be NO equipment failures or medicals. Therefore, NO make up ends.

USA Archery Dress Code

USAA Dress Code -

  • USAA Dress Code will be enforced, this includes official practice sessions.

  • Must present a professional, athletic appearance while on the field. (Torn, ripped or heavily soiled clothing articles are not allowed.) Clothing may be of any color, except as noted below.

  • Shorts, skorts and skirts must be at least mid-thigh in length.

  • No camo clothing may be worn. Camo bows are allowed in USA Archery events and accessories such as caps, quivers, armguards, etc., are permitted to be camo.

  • Denim is allowed, but must not be torn, ripped or have holes.

  • Leggings (tight fitting/yoga-type stretch pants) are allowed, but must not be transparent/translucent above the knee.

  • Upper garments must cover the front and back of the body, and the midriff when at full draw. They must also have sleeves.

  • Shoes must cover the entire foot. Sport/athletic shoes are recommended.

  • At no time will any article that bears wording, insignias, innuendo or images determined by USA Archery to be offensive or inappropriate be allowed on the field of play.

World Archery Equipment Rules

 Arrow Requirements (World Archery, Book 3): 11.1.7. Arrows of any type may be used provided they comply with the common meaning of the word “arrow” as used in target archery, and do not cause undue damage to target faces or butts.
11.1.7.1. An arrow consists of a shaft with a tip (point), nocks, fletching and, if desired, cresting. The maximum diameter of arrow shafts shall not exceed 9.3mm (arrow wraps shall not be considered as part of this limitation as long they do not extend further than 22cm toward the point of the arrow when measured from the throat – nock hole where the string sits – of the nock to the end of the wrap); the tips (points) for these arrows may have a maximum diameter of 9.4mm. All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete’s name or initials on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern and colour(s) of fletching, nocks and cresting, if any. Tracer nocks (electrically/electronically lighted arrow nocks) are not allowed.

Payment is made at time of registration via Paypal. All Registrations must be paid via Paypal. No registration is complete until payment is made.

Space is limited – priority will be given to Arizona USAA Members. Corner Archery will do their best to accommodate requested shooting times. Shooting times desired may not be available as registration closure gets near.

 REGISTRATION FEES:

  • JOAD registration fee: $45.00

• Online payment is due at time of registration. A submission acknowledgement popup will appear after you submit your entry at the bottom of the registration page. The popup contains a link that will direct you to PayPal to pay your registration fee. Entry fee is $45.00 for USA Archery members. There is no late registration entry fee however we encourage you to enter early as space is limited. Registration will close at midnight on February 23, 2022, as to allow our staff to organize lane assignments. There will be NO On-site registration for this event. In the event that all shooting sessions are full please contact us as we might be able to accommodate you.

Cancellations are subject to a processing fee of $5.00 if processed prior to February 23, 2022.

There are NO REFUNDS after registration closes on February 23, 2022.

COVID-19 Guidelines

The following information and guidelines are set by Arizona Game and Fish, Ben Avery Shooting

Facility, and the State of Arizona. These guidelines must be followed and were established to ensure

the health and safety of the persons using the facility for this tournament. Corner Archery has no

control over the rules and regulations set-forth by these agencies.

  • IF YOU ARE SICK/ILL, FEEL SICK/ILL, HAVE A TEMPERATURE, THINK ABOUT

FEELING SICK/ILL, HAVE BEEN SICK/ILL RECENTLY, ETC… PLEASE STAY HOME.

  • Masks are required for all non-vaccinated persons when inside the Ben Avery Indoor Shooting Facility. This goes for

archers, spectators, and staff.

  • Corner Archery is not allowed to inquire about vaccination status.

  • Archers DO NOT have to wear a mask when on the shooting line. Archers must wear a

mask when scoring downrange.

  • Corner Archery WILL NOT have a food vendor at the event this year. Corner Archery will be

selling soda, water, Gatorade, and small pre-packaged snacks.

  • Participants are welcome to bring their own food and beverages.

  • Please clean up your area prior to leaving. DO NOT leave empty cans, bottles, snacks, etc.

for our staff to clean up. This is just common sense however it happens every tournament so

please utilize the trash cans.

  • By entering the building, you understand that you are taking a risk. Corner Archery, Desert

Ben Avery Shooting Facility, the State of Arizona, as well as any and all individuals

associated with or employed by the above mentioned entities CAN NOT be held responsible

for anyone that contracts the COVID-19 virus while on the property or attending the event.
