Level 1 Information
The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course provides graduates the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range for camps and beginner archery programs. To successfully complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification online course, including the online exam and register for and complete the 'in-person' USA Archery Level 1 Instructor practical course to officially receive a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certificate of completion.
The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor will learn about range safety and setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans, and is well prepared to teach beginner archery programs to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of disciplines.
Course Name: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Online Course
Online Course Cost: $40 (plus sales tax as applicable by state)
Practical Date: March 15, 2026 9am - 1pm
Practical Course Length: In person 4.5 - 8 hours (dependent on class size and skill level)
Practical Course Cost: $60 Invoiced through Corner Archery and must be paid prior to the Practical
Certification Period: Three years from the date of the course completion
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 15 (A student who is 14 years old and within 30 days of his or her 15th birthday may take the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification course. However, the instructor may not submit the Applicant Data form until the student turns 15 years of age.)

How to Access the Course
To access the online course, return or log in to your Personal Account at usarchery.sport80.com. In the far left-hand menu select Access Online Courses. You will be automatically directed to the USA Archery Education Hub where you will complete your online course.
Level 2 Information
The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification online course provides graduates the necessary tools to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, and the Explore Archery Program. To successfully complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification online course, including the online exam and register for and complete the "in-person" USA Archery Level 2 Instructor practical course.
The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification online course includes the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor online certification course information and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development and events.
In addition to passing the course, instructors must have current U.S. Center for SafeSport training, current USA Archery Background Screen, and a current USA Archery or National Field Archery Association membership.
USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification is not a prerequisite for this course.

Minimum Age: 18 (A student who is 17 years old and within 30 days of his or her 18th birthday may take the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course. However, the instructor may not submit the Applicant Data form until the student turns 18 years of age.)
Membership to USA Archery* or the National Field Archery Association (NFAA)
USA Archery Background Screening (Please note: you will not be able to register for the Level 2 course until the screening has been cleared by NCSI. Screenings typically take about 7-10 business days.)

Level 3 Information
This course is for new Level 3-NTS Coaches and is NOT for RENEWAL.
Course Information
Course Length: Online Course - 6-8 hours
Online Course Cost: $100 for the Level 3 Online Course
Practical Date: March 14 & 15, 2026 9am - 5pm each day
Practical Course Length: In person Approx 16 hours over 2 days
Practical Cost: $300 Invoiced through Corner Archery and must be paid prior to the Practical
Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion
The Level 3-NTS Coach Certification Course focuses on developing coaches who are capable of utilizing evidence based coaching and teaching methods, understand the finer details and concepts of the National Training System for both Recurve and Compound, and provide organized and effective training programs.
Students in the Level 3 Coach Certification Courses will be introduced to quality coaching, motor learning theory, coaching methods, feedback methods, the National Training System for Compound and Recurve, the mental process, movement analysis, training theory and design, athlete development, coaching philosophy and coach development.

Level 3-NTS Certification Prerequisites
Minimum age is 19
Must hold a current Level 2 Instructor certification
LEVEL 3-NTS CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Full Adult Membership(USAA or NFAA required)
Current USA Archery Background Screen through your account($35 for domestic/$205 for most international)
Current Center for SafeSport Training through your account
Register for and Complete the Online Course - Cost $100
Register for and Complete the in-person Practical Course: approximately 16 Hours
Practical Course Cost: $300 invoiced through Corner Archery and must be paid prior to course
Certification Period: Three years from the date of the course completion

After that you will access the course and will need to complete the online course prior to the practical course. Determine if you are in the full screen view or minimized mobile view. If you are in the full screen view, you will see a column of options on the left. If your screen is minimize, on a tablet or mobile device you will see the mobile view.
