AZ State ADULT GUEST MONEY SHOOT:

  • The Arizona State ADULT (NOT UNDER THE AGE OF 21) Guest Money Shoot is a fun shoot that will run at the same time as the Arizona State JOAD Outdoor Championships at the Ben Avery FITA Range. This shoot will be using the same field, timers, judges, and targets, however the adults shooting in this event WILL NOT be sharing a target with a youth competing in the JOAD Championships.

  • This is a one day event and registration is only available online following the “Register Now” link at the top of this page.

    • At the end of the registration form a pop-up will show you completed the form and it will provide a link to Paypal for payment.

  • Cost is $50 per archer of which $25 will go back to the prize pool.

    • $25 Prize Pool Money

    • $25 Operating Expenses

      • Bale Rental, Targets, Judges Fee, Adult Range Fee, etc.

Compound Bow, Recurve Bow, & Barebow

The Rules and Format – READ CAREFULLY

  • Compound & Recurve

    • Compound archers will shoot on a 80cm target face at 50m.

    • Recurve archers will shoot on a 122cm target face at 50m.

    • Archers will shoot 6 arrows per end with a total of 6 ends for a total possible score of 360 points per session.

    • Archers will shoot 2 scoring sessions.

    • At the end of the 2nd scoring session using total score the field of archers will be blind flighted and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers of the flights will be paid accordingly.

      • Flight are dependent on number of registered archers.

    • There is no gender separation or bow type separation.

    • There is no equipment inspection however please be in compliance with USA Archery rules and regulations on arrows and equipment.
       

The LEGAL Stuff -Dress Code Applies (There will be Arizona State JOAD Championships going on at the same time on the other side of the field).

 Arrow Requirements (World Archery, Book 3):

  • 11.1.7. Arrows of any type may be used provided they comply with the common meaning of the word “arrow” as used in target archery, and do not cause undue damage to target faces or butts.

  • All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete’s name or initials on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern and colour(s) of fletching, nocks and cresting, if any.

  • Tracer nocks (electrically/electronically lighted arrow nocks) are not allowed.
